Finding Eternal Happiness

Finding Eternal Happiness

What if everything in your life was perfect right now?

What if you were perfect right now, just as you are (no adjustments necessary)?

What if you were exactly where you are meant to be?

What would your inner dialogue be if you weren’t striving for something more?

How would you think, act and engage in life if all the boxes on your checklist were checked off? How would you treat yourself if life couldn’t get any better than what it is now?

What would you be thinking, saying, doing, feeling, wearing?

The point of these questions are not to stop you from wanting more, yearning to improve or grow.

The point is to remind you that you can cut yourself some slack and enjoy where you are right now, to be compassionate with yourself and to be gentle with your burning desire to be more, do more, have more.

I invite you to press pause just briefly and enjoy the present moment.

Take a look at where you are now, where you’ve come from, what you’ve endured, who you’ve become and what you’ve overcome to be here now. Take a breath. Relax. Relish. You deserve it! You are worthy of a rest.

I understand that you want more in your life. I realize that you likely have lofty dreams, visions and goals. And though you may yearn for the object(s) of your desire (ideal body, a spouse, financial health, a new job, a kick-ass business, the dream house, or some other symbol of success), you have the power within to be happy without it.

I want to remind you that you are enough! You are perfect right now, just as you are, even if nothing changes.

Yes, if nothing changes, you are PERFECT, my friend.

So often, we (humans) focus on the end goal and feel lack in our lives when we don’t see evidence of that goal in our lives. That feeling of lack and yearning make us feel stuck and often times live life thinking “if only” I had this or that, then I’d truly be happy.

This view of lack leaves us feeling like satisfaction is just out of reach.

I get it… patience and trust can be hard. And yet, I applaud you, that you want, desire and deserve more (because you are worthy of each of your heart’s yearnings).

But what if instead of focusing on the end goal (just for a short time), you were to just imagine and feel that everything was perfect just as it is. What would you do differently than what you are doing today? How would you show up? How would you treat yourself?

When you allow your soul to be satisfied, you will never fail to find the joy that you seek.

Sending you a big warm hug and urging you to just be. You don’t have to do more, have more, be more to be happy… it’s in you, right now.

In good health & eternal happiness,

Sharlene
