After this brilliant spring weekend, I was left feeling light & lifted by the unusual but welcome warmth of the sun’s rays. The sunshine and warmth of this past weekend inspired this tropical flavour into my breakfast this morning.
Pina Green Smoothie
I blended some ice along with the following ingredients and felt like I was in the islands:
1/4 avocado (peeled & seed removed)
¾ c fresh pineapple (peeled & cubed)
1/2 banana (mine are usually frozen)
1 c spinach
2 Tbsp unsweetened organic shredded coconut
2 c water
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder or 1 Tbsp of hemp or chia seeds
